What is a SuperControl licence and how many do you need?

John and Keven from our Business Development team spend a lot of time speaking to holiday rental owners and managers of self-catering businesses on the phone and by email.

Here they discuss one of the questions they get asked quite often, what is a licence?

John: “When it comes to licences in SuperControl, we’re often asked ‘What is a licence’. So the easiest explanation is that anything that requires its own availability would require a licence.”

Keven: “So, examples of which would be – if you had three rooms in a house and you want to let those rooms individually, you will require a licence for each of those rooms and that would therefore give you an availability calendar for that room. And you can also have a licence that encompasses the whole property as well, which if booked will block off availability for those three rooms as well. And we refer to that as cross-updating within the system.”

John: “It’s not just rooms of course, it’s cottages, it’s apartments, it’s yurts, it’s pitches. It’s whatever you want to use the system for, it’s that unit of availability that’s a licence.”
