Does your glamping accommodation meet VisitEngland’s stamp of quality?

Did you know that VisitEngland has recently launched a Glamping scheme? This independent accreditation of glamping standards is the first of its kind in the UK.

The Glamping scheme, which replaces VisitEngland’s Alternative Accommodation scheme, is designed to ensure guests who book glamping accommodation, do so safe in the knowledge that a certain standard of quality and amenities will be provided. For glamping providers, the VisitEngland accreditation is an internationally recognised quality marque that is designed to promote and reward quality businesses.

Going for gold?

There are two levels of recognition within the scheme: Accreditation and a Gold Award.

  1. VisitEngland Accreditation: To achieve this, you need to provide all the information, services and facilities needed and meet the required quality standard in all areas.
  2. VisitEngland Gold Award: This award is a recognition of exceptional quality and facilities.

If you decide to join this scheme, you’ll receive a visit from a VisitEngland quality assessor, who will judge all aspects of your business and will award a score of 0 to 5 for each element. You need to achieve more than 60% to gain an accreditation.
