New member of the Support team: introducing Tom

The Support team is growing in the Castle Douglas office in Scotland. We are delighted to introduce Tom Billing who joined us as Client Support Advisor this week. Here’s a little bit of info about our latest recruit.

Tom Billing, Client Support Advisor at SuperControl

Tom lives in Dumfries with his cat Gus.  He’s originally from Wolstanton in Stoke on Trent, and has lived in Scotland for 20 years.

His biggest passion is rock climbing. He has climbed all over the UK and has plans to travel to Italy in the near future to do some climbing there as well.  Happiest on a rock, up a hill or kayaking on water, Tom is a true outdoor enthusiast.

What is your favourite thing about living in Dumfries and Galloway?
The landscape!  The rolling hills of Criffel, Screel and Merrick, long stretches of sand like at Powillimount and of course the incredible Galloway Forest make the area an truly beautiful and unique place to live. There are some fantastic walks to be had.

What is your perfect holiday?
Loading a tent, sleeping bag, bike and kayak into my car, driving somewhere off grid and enjoying the outdoors.

What is your favourite film ever?
Being a major military history nerd, my favourite film is Saving Private Ryan.

What dream three people (alive or dead) would you invite to dinner?
Wilfred Owen for the poetry, Peter Kay for the laughs and  Albert Einstein for the genius conversation

Dogs or cats?
Both.  I’m a dog person who got a cat, but I’m teaching my cat to act like a dog.
